We’d previously gone to a Short & Sweet Drive-in Experience in Camps Bay, and recently attended a couple of amazing sessions at The German Club in Cape Town. If you haven’t yet taken the time to enjoy a night out with Short & Sweet, get to it because it is always a night to remember with at least one film that is bound to resonate with you or leaving you feeling more than before, even if that is a little uneasy or happier than when you walked in through the door. It’s all good.
You can expect a good dose of short film at every event with a good serving of movies and music videos made up of eight films on an evening’s line up and an intermission in the middle. You are bound to get your fill of the funnies, all the drama and quite a few films on the darker side, but there really is a little something Short & Sweet for everyone. Even their own Short & Sweet commercials in between are something to write home about.
Hendricks Gin sponsor Short & Sweet along with some other fantastic names including
Mediterranean Delicacies who come to the party with Tapas for Two. You have the option to add a tasty tray to your ticket when you purchase online or at the door. You can order a drink of your choice from the cash bar or order popcorn from the classic cinema machine.
Just like Camps Bay compliments a night at the Drive-in, The German Club in the heart of the city of Cape Town is a great venue for the Short & Sweet cinema showcase lending itself perfectly to the affair with a display of awesome art, visuals, music and film it makes for a fantastic night out in the Mother City. The eye candy and sounds are a true treat for the senses.
Short & Sweet showcases local and international short film from around the world. Films are between five and ten minutes long, each of them brilliant and tells a unique story. It is a fusion of cultures, emotions and human behaviours that play out on screen with each film. It is often difficult to choose the favourites from the night and each selection just gets better.
Short & Sweet hosts cinema events in Cape Town and London; they added Amsterdam to their line up in October this year. Inrichmint Media would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Short & Sweet team at achieving so much over the past year; you really have come so far. Short & Sweet provides us with a platform that exposes us to the very best in short film. Thank you for bringing short film to Cape Town in a way that simply has no equal.
