With a dash of spice, the charm of District Six and a sparkling hat or two, Richard’s Supper Stage & Bistro is one spectacular night out in Cape Town. Situated in Sea Point, Richard’s welcomes guests from far and near with a warm and welcoming Capetonian embrace.
So, ladies grab your rouge, men don’t forget your bow-tie and join us as we take you through the enchanting District Six experience at Richard’s.
From the moment you ascend the flight of stairs laden with district six street plaques, you enter the majestic world of Richard’s Supper Stage & Bistro. Upon entering the upstairs venue, you are greeted by smartly dressed waiting staff and a glass of sparkling wine as you settle into your given table. Once all the tables have arrived, the show begins – and what a show it was. Having been named ‘Kaapse Stories from the Mother City’, guests know what to expect. The show is a family affair, with local talent taking you on a journey through the lives and times of the cast. Throughout the night you are transported through a range of emotions, leaving your sides sore and your heart fulfilled.
The waiters are friendly and helpful, giving guests superb service throughout the show. However, perhaps the best part of the evening was the home-cooked buffet style food. From Malay Samoosa’s and Snoek Pate to Breyani and Bobotie, all the food is absolutely delicious. You will not disappointed in any way throughout your eating experience.
The dinner and show is also a prime location for special occasions, with birthdays, anniversaries and even corporate events taking place regularly. The venue does not charge a venue hire when renting it out for events, making it the perfect place to host a lively and upmarket birthday celebration or end of year function.
Overall, the evening was a huge success, with myself as well as fellow guests leaving with smiles from ear to ear, songs on our mind and full stomachs. We had a thoroughly wonderful time.
