Christmas is a magical time for family and friends and at Raith we love that about this season. Having just received our annual Christmas delivery, Raith is stocked up on some of the finest German Christmas delights just in time for the festive Christmas period.
Taken over by Helmut Raith who moved to the Cape from Windhoek in 1989 to open his own butchery, Raith Gourmet has been in the Garden Centre since the 1970’s. Whether you are looking to sit down, grab a take-away or do your weekly grocery shopping, Raith is the place to go. With branches in both Garden’s Centre and High Constantia Village, each shop brings its own unique atmosphere and clientele. Under the new guidance of Namibian born German, Chris, Raith has gone from success to success.
Around this time of year, our butchery, bakery and shop turn into a world of Christmas delights. Our butchery will be offering customers the chance to order their Christmas meat such as gammon, turkey, deboned lamb, chicken, beef wellington and duck both cooked and uncooked. A wide array of the usual butchery items are also on offer for those who prefer not to order ahead of time. The bakery has also been busy baking fresh German breads as well as other sweet Christmas delicacies.
In addition to our butchery and bakery, we have imported a large selection of traditional German Christmas items. For those who have grown up or visited Europe during this festive period, our Christmas products are sure to invoke some great memories. Amongst our Christmas items we have some of the yummiest stollen, mini-butter spekulatius, macaroons, gingerbread men, build-your-own gingerbread houses and an assortment of Christmas chocolates.
Find your little piece of German Christmas at Raith Gourmet this December. We look forward to seeing you there.
